Forever Plaid at The Hippodrome
The Hipodrome, Gainesville’s cultural centerpiece, offering live theatre, films, gallery exhibits, classes and special events 340 days a year, is performing Forever Plaid, directed by Steven Flaa and starring Matty Colonna, Nick Endsley, James Gish, Charles Logan with eight shows a week through June 25.
The show takes audiences on a nostalgic joy ride to the 1950s and tells the story of Frankie, Jinx, Sparky and Smudge, also known as “the Plaids,” a quartet of singers that take a detour to heaven on the way to their first big show. Fantastically funny and timelessly tuneful, the close harmonies and charming choreography take audiences through the classic pop hits of the '50s, such as Moments to Remember, Heart and Soul and Love is a Many Splendored Thing.
Location: 25 SE 2nd Pl., Gainesville. For tickets, call the box office at 352-375-4477 or visit TheHipp.org.
