Support Storm-Affected Animals via Fall Car Show

Oct 31, 2017 03:08PM

The Endangered Animal Rescue Sanctuary (EARS), a nonprofit organization in Citra that exists specifically to provide a permanent home for unwanted and/or abused endangered animals, will hold a car show and fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be custom-made trophies, a 50/50 auction, vendors, music and great food.

EARS rescues animals that are in need of help, from tigers, lions and cougars to bears and primates. The facility did suffer damage from Hurricane Irma, and many of the larger habitat/enclosures were lost. The cost of rebuilding is high, both terms of money and stress to the animals as they are forced into smaller quarters. Volunteers are in place to do the work once funds are obtained.

Spectators are free; cars, trucks and motorcycles are welcome at $10 each for show entry The event is located at the private home of David and Sue Nassivera, 2250 NE 70th St. (Hwy. 326), Ocala. For more information, call Sue at 352-266-2859 or visit EARSinc.net.
